Diving with enriched air Nitrox requires special training to avoid risks associated with oxygen toxicity. In addition to oxygen toxicity risks, diving with helium blends (trimix, heliox) requires special training to avoid hypoxia and decompression sickness. Helium blends require special decompression procedures that differ from air or enriched air.
Do not dive with enriched air Nitrox, heliox or trimix unless you are certified in their use or under the supervision of an instructor certified to train you in their use. Otherwise, you expose yourself to high risk of serious permanent injury or death.
